Role Call: Crete, Corona, Coriolis, Sergeant Sonic

We received an anonymous tip that a robbery was going down in an antique store near Pioneer Square. So we all hitched up and went over to investigate. Coriolis, Crete, (Jerry, a friend of JT played a sonic powered speedster whom we dubbed Captain Caterwaul instead of Sergeant Sonic), (Kris wrote up a light/heat guy) Corona are the others, so it looks like we have our 5-team! heh.

Anyway, Coriolis blows open the doors with a gentle wind and demands they come out with their hands up. Crete moved in (with a bit of help from the winds) and attempts to start up a conversation with the robbers. While Capt and Corona head around the back side to see what's what.

Inside we see Apex and Powergirl rummaging through bins. Coriolis stirs up a bit of grit to try and blind Powergirl, while Crete turns to brick form.

The noisy Capitan shows up at the rear entrance just in time to face Snap Shot, he notes that she has some small doily trimmed thing stuffed into a pocket. A fight ensues.

Seeing that Snap Shot likes to toss sharp pointy things, and that Captain is not doing much to her, and that Crete is ignoring Powergirl satisfactorily Coriolis and Captain Caterwaul swap targets, as Coriolis tries to get a surprise shot in on Snap Shot but misses.

In fact there was a lot of near missing but fortunately Corona had his blazing light aura (well duh with a name like Corona what would you expect) and right after blasting a nice hole in Coriolis' chest (tis but a flesh wound! I'm fine really.) Snap Shot managed to get a nice bit of sunburn when she stabbed Corona.

As Powergirl was slammed completely through the store to land in a pile at her feet, Snap Shot demanded that we accept their surrender and turn off the blazing light that was surely giving her melanoma and worse.

We acquiesced, but not before Crete and Captain Caterwaul had a good chance to double team Apex and knock him into the middle of next week.

Battle notes: Crete seems to prefer talking over fighting, and has an apprehension to hitting women.

Coriolis is a loud mouth and seems quite vulnerable to lasers.

A guaranteed bit of damage goes a long way to sooth the fighting instinct of a foe.

As we sent Apex and Powergirl to the Primus Sieve for lockup, we kept Snap Shot for interrogation to find out whats what. Seems she had an anonymous call to steal the "chintzy doggy pillow" and would be receiving further instructions later.

Smelling a setup we did some investigation, and suspicions confirmed that the item stolen was neither rare nor expensive and could be found in a number of catalogs on the net and elsewhere. Captain Caterwaul and Corona waited in vain for the phone call (Snap Shot was fearful of his attack, and Coriolis was still pissed at her for shooting him, so he locked her in the closet hence the choice in guards) while Crete and Coriolis went back to investigate the scene looking for video cameras for a clue to who placed the out of place doggy pillow.

Instead we eventually found a small box with antenna arrays epoxied to the side of the building. Remembering the trouble with retrieving a similar box with Snap, Crete carefully carved the side of the building away and then repaired it while Coriolis did some investigation on the box.

Even being an expert in the field of demolitions and security systems, (and making his roll by 9 + a corresponding skill roll) the box managed to blow its self up. Obviously we were being monitored during the whole process.

No phone call came so when check out rolled around, Snap Shot was checked in to the Primus Sieve.

Snapshot was offered $30,000 for stealing that object. She thinks she was setup as well. (Definitely going to ask for advances in the future.)
